I was in Kyoto at the same time as Yuko, and was only able to be dorkily excited retroactively when I got back and checked the internet stuff I missed.

Sadly, I know the feeling. I used to be able to fluently speak Spanish and Portuguese.

Now all I know is "I'm sorry, I don't speak Spanish" in, of course Spanish, and I've lost all knowledge of Portuguese... D:

Anyways, yeah. I'm new to the comic. Saw it's ad on Dominic Deegan a while back and am now getting around to reading it. So far it's pretty funny! You guys remind me of my friends. XD

Funnily enough, every Japanese phrase in the "flights of stairs" comic is one I could have read without subtitles, despite the fact that my Japanese vocabulary is completely pathetic. I guess... they're all useful things to know when your communication skills are pathetic. ^^; Gambatte. I'm sure your Japanese is way better than mine at any rate.

I know how you feel there. I've flown a lot, but never once did jetlag hit me as hard as it did coming back from Japan. Man, that was painful.

I think this comic will be a big success,and id like to see how you make the comic step by step :)

I studied abroad for a year in Sapporo, and I completely agree about the keyboards. They drove me nuts. I can't remember which key it was, but it was a key used a lot, that when I went to hit it on Japanese keyboards almost always hit the thing to convert text into some other form. Like hiragana to romaji or something.....Keyboards! >:O

It's important to be polite in Japan, even to stairs.
