KONNICHIWA, MANGS
Hey fellas, I'm back in the States! There are computers here with keyboard layouts that I can understand! This is truly a Garden of Eden.
I'm going to sleep off the jet lag for a few days. I hope you enjoy the guest comics (thank you again Jeph and Jami!) and I'll see you all next Monday! I should have some photos-and-other-things to show off by then.

Comment by Geoff (not verified) Tue, 06/16/2009 - 05:42Oh, welcome back Yuko. I've never been further than California, so I have no idea what the jet lag is like, but it's nice to have you back stateside. We missed you.
Now get some sleep, so you can tell us all about your adventures in comic form.

All my cousins essentially
Comment by Ananth Tue, 06/16/2009 - 15:33All my cousins essentially live in Delhi and Rajasthan! Jaipur, to be precise ... I am quite familiar with the places you speak of. (It is a bit of a thrill to see someone from the motherland!)
So glad you enjoyed the comic! We aim to please. :)
So THIS is what you've been up to...
Comment by DoctrZombie (not verified) Tue, 06/16/2009 - 15:30I lost your trail sometime in the Tegaki E days... I was wondering what you've been doing on the internets! Artists don't just give up posting stuff.
Web-Comedians on the other hand...we die quietly in the night. Like Werewolves.
wait...no, not like werewolves...
Welcome back Yuko!

Comment by Nieve (not verified) Wed, 06/17/2009 - 04:43Yeah, another one of them blokes from Questionable Content coming to pay a visit. This place is cool. The moths are part of the plan, yes?
Anyway, I like the comics you guys have here. I'll be following this place. Here's hoping you guys'll keep it up.
Also, I hope Japan was awesome. You're so lucky~

Envy
Comment by Vysard (not verified) Wed, 06/17/2009 - 07:19I covet thy ability to go to Japan. How I long for shores that are not American. >_>
But you should show us what you acquired while you were over there, so we can all go "Oooooh! Ahhhhh!" at it. :3
I was in Kyoto at the same
Comment by Ramen King (not verified) Wed, 06/17/2009 - 16:03I was in Kyoto at the same time as Yuko, and was only able to be dorkily excited retroactively when I got back and checked the internet stuff I missed.
Oh my, I know the feeling. 7
Comment by Shouri (not verified) Thu, 06/18/2009 - 00:46Oh my, I know the feeling. 7 years studying the language, one year hiatus before comming back to classes... yep, I failed as hard. Good to hear you're back! Hope you enjoyed your time there~
Awesome.
Comment by DJ-Zombie (not verified) Thu, 06/18/2009 - 01:49Sadly, I know the feeling. I used to be able to fluently speak Spanish and Portuguese.
Now all I know is "I'm sorry, I don't speak Spanish" in, of course Spanish, and I've lost all knowledge of Portuguese... D:
Anyways, yeah. I'm new to the comic. Saw it's ad on Dominic Deegan a while back and am now getting around to reading it. So far it's pretty funny! You guys remind me of my friends. XD

Comment by Kirin (not verified) Thu, 06/18/2009 - 13:01Funnily enough, every Japanese phrase in the "flights of stairs" comic is one I could have read without subtitles, despite the fact that my Japanese vocabulary is completely pathetic. I guess... they're all useful things to know when your communication skills are pathetic. ^^; Gambatte. I'm sure your Japanese is way better than mine at any rate.
Jetlag
Comment by Jukebox (not verified) Thu, 06/18/2009 - 19:44I know how you feel there. I've flown a lot, but never once did jetlag hit me as hard as it did coming back from Japan. Man, that was painful.
Welcome back!
Comment by Beast (not verified) Sat, 06/20/2009 - 01:49I think this comic will be a big success, and id like to see how you make the comic step by step :)
keyboard rage
Comment by Heath (not verified) Sun, 06/21/2009 - 00:07I studied abroad for a year in Sapporo, and I completely agree about the keyboards. They drove me nuts. I can't remember which key it was, but it was a key used a lot, that when I went to hit it on Japanese keyboards almost always hit the thing to convert text into some other form. Like hiragana to romaji or something.....Keyboards! >:O

Comment by conrad Sun, 06/21/2009 - 20:45Dude, I used a Vaio 505 as my primary machine for like 2 years, and I can't tell you how annoying it was that the apostrophe key was Shift+2, and quotes Shift+7. Also: the @ key was its own key. Agitation simply does not describe my feelings.
Who doesn't love bad puns?
Comment by Heath (not verified) Mon, 06/22/2009 - 03:13@gitation even! I'm so sorry...I couldn't help myself...:(
It's important to be polite

お帰りなさい! You
Comment by SaradaSensei (not verified) Mon, 06/22/2009 - 11:41お帰りなさい! You were lucky to miss what should have been rainy season :) It's sort of hit now, though it looks like just for a few days, at least on Shikoku. And of course it's crazy long in Okinawa, just in time for my trip in 2 days. 梅雨がいや...
