Oh man, sorry I'm a little late with the blog post! It's been a busy day and I finally have a minute.

So here's page 2, which Miss Yuko worked very hard on ... she was at it all day yesterday. We finally meet Cecilia's mystery date! He's a little odd, but he seems like a gentleman (actually, I can't wait till page 4 so I can tell you guys about the two terrible alternate endings I came up with for this story.) Hope you're enjoying it! And hope you're enjoying the fictional stuff ... Yuko and I are already throwing around some ideas for future shorts.

In other news, the Maw figurine is up for preorder! It's a cool $30, which is well under what I imagined it would be -- fair warning, when it hits 20 preorders (it's very close) the price jumps to $35.

And as mentioned before, the Zoolology tees are back in stock as well! We've already run out of some sizes - let us know if yours is gone and we'll see what we can do. :)

I've seen it. The best way to describe his overall facial demeanor is to take a young Barack Obama, mix in the awe and mystery of a stary night sky, season it with the laughter of a thousand children, and put on a big honking powerstache.

Awww! What seems like an otherwise wonderful date is marred by this guy's unfortunate ability. I really feel sorry for him...

So, I'm presuming you're just keeping the mystery man's face dark because of story purposes, right? Otherwise, I'd think it's Cecilia's fault for dating a man with pitch black skin and no pupils. That'd just be eerie.

IN THE TREEEES
MY GOD

Referencing previous plotlines aside, I've gotta say that I'm on the edge of my seat for more of this. And not really for the plot either, although it's most intriguing. It probably sounds weird, but this style reminds me of a really good movie- you can "hear" the colours and "taste" the sounds. In panel four, you can basically hear the violins, clinking glasses and chattering patrons. Panel five, it's almost like the crickets and occasional maw-caw are happening. A lone car drives by in the distance and all that poetry stuff.

In short, good work! You're bringing a new life to simple drawings for me.

I'm so happy that The Maw made it to the pre-order stage! I just wish that my check would come in right this moment so that I could order one for my Piano top!

And congrats to Yuko, these pages are wonderfully rendered and really beautiful, I especially adore the bone work on Cecilia, in art classes that I took (sadly ceased now, due to the fact that I'm a music major and need to concentrate on it) my concentration art pieces were bones and skeletal pieces.

Anyway, hope to be able to get a little crow demon soon!

Personally, I think your hand going skeletal is worth just a tad more than an 'oh my'.

But that aside, I love the comic. Cecilia's adorable. I honestly think my curiosity will materialize and suffocate me in my sleep tonight. I can't wait to see the rest.

Was it terrible that I kept checking this site constantly to see whether or not a new page was up over the weekend even though I knew it was wishful thinking?

You guys have really out done yourself so far; LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of fictional stuff popping up with autobio. Keep them coming? Pretty please? With a cherry on top? And hot fudge?
