By the way, you blew us away over the past few days. I ordered more PaleontoLOLgy tees than usual and I thought it'd carry us through the new year but you guys cleaned us out in TWO DAYS. The only sizes we have left are Mens and Womens XL, and the totes. I reordered the tees - not sure if they'll be in in time for Christmas, but they'll be back as quick as we can restock! Oh, and the Prints holiday gift pack is restocked - there are only 7 Forza prints left and then they're gone forever! We're retiring that print. That's the update on that!

Twenty years later, Delilah sits upon a throne constructed from the statues of her enemies, each face appearing more horrified than the last. Puppy sits faithfully at her side as she passes judgment on all who come before her, waiting for the chance to open his eyes and make the empyreal seat just a little bit higher.

Her only regret is that she will never be able to gaze upon that which has brought her glory, but justice is blind, after all.

I dunno, it's kinda what I expected. It's a little girl with a baby basilisk. I doubt super kung fu with an overweight bully was in the works. :-)

May bust out the canvas tablet and some acrylics over winter break and paint some fanart. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a picture of it though. It would be fun to paint again.

'grievous bodily harm' as a tag on the comic reminds me of a certain part from 'Good Omens' by Gaiman&Pratchett. I think they would approve of this story arc, as I do :)

The whole concept of a little blind girl with a basilisk is awesome to begin with. Add in Yuko's art and it reaches dangerous levels of cuteness. Bravo!

This is Dark, I like it! And a substantial body count for what looks like a children's story on the cover, and there isn't even a real moral to the story! Oh, sure; "don't bully the blind kid" comes to mind, but that's just common sense in my opinion.
To me it's more along the lines of; "It's alright to kill people if you are ignorant to the actual act." and also how ridiculously dangerous handicapped people are...

In any case, the story isn't all that much, but then again there is only so much you can squeeze into four pages. The art is great, and that's the greatest reason why I read JW (sorry Ananth!).

Wow, it's been a while since I left a comment... That story was AWESOME!!! I've never seen such a cute basilisk! It actually reminds me of a Chocobo... Anyone else get that vibe from it?

Awesome story, though I'm a bit upset that it's over already. I really hope you guys come back to this one in the future, it's got some amazing potential! Love it love it love it!!!

Hah, I'm so surprised this is the first time someone said it reminded 'em of a chocobo! We were saying to ourselves that some people would likely see a similarity.

Glad you dug it! Not sure if we'll come back to it ... all depends on whether or not we can find an angle worth exploring. We'll see!

Maybe do a three part series... Childhood, Adulthood, and old age. *shrug* I dunno, I just really want to see more of them! Delila reminds me of a female me when I was younger, and that choco... I mean, basilisk, it's just too awesome to leave alone!

hehehehe You go little Basilisk. I'd love to see Delilah 20 yrs from now, walking down the street with her faithful Basilisk by her side...and people fleeing in terror from her while she says "Hi! Hello! Good morning! Lovely day, isn't it?" XD

Interesting how that when the Basilisk is blindfolded, it too is, well, blind. There's something deep there but I can't put it together at the moment.

Something I just realised this morning... Puppy's not a Basilisk, he's a Cockatrice!
A basilisk is traditionally a lizard or a snake, but since puppy's more like a rooster with a lizard's tail, he's a cockatrice instead.

You guys were out of 2XL by the time I was able to get around to ordering, haha. Thankfully, 2XL is just my personal taste so I was able to snag an XL for my Christmas present to myself, which just arrived. Now my other family members are jealous, I'll make sure to reference them if you get more stock in.

I have to say...Delilah and the Basilisk is freaking adorable. That...is by far the cutest basilisk I've ever seen.

I think I preferred the story of The Girl With The Skeleton Hand, the artwork of Delilah & The Basilisk, and the epicness of my new paleontoLOLgy shirt that just arrived today, yay~ \o/
