Welcome to Portland.. I'm new to the city as well, But if you are doing any adventuring, I suggest you check out "Tea Chai Te" which is a really nice little Tea house on 23rd ave. And also Check out Voodoo doughnuts. Best donuts around.

Yes, definitely hit up Voodoo Donuts(or however you spell that). I also highly recommend Flying Pie Pizza over on 77th and Stark. Don't order a large unless you brought friends....

Hey, I just remembered we still haven't seen any pictures of George and his undying smile yet!

I mean, it would be horrible if George and his smile got reduced to ashes before we ever got to see the real thing.

I lived out in Portland for a brief time. I remember Powell's. You have to love a bookstore that gives out free maps of the store! Because otherwise you'd get lost. Seriously.

I've been lurking awhile and have loved all of the anecdotes and character designs here. Johnny Wander is why I don't hate Tuesday and Thursday (although I guess I saw this Tuesday's comic late).

I would like to second, or third all of the above suggestions. You guys are making me homesick (as I am not currently in Portland). Enjoy Portland!

This comic totally reminds me from that scene in Loom (old-school LucasArts SCUMM game), where the hero is revealed. And that is awesome all-round.

Actually, seriously, portland tip for those of you not in the know - do yourself and go get a sandwich from East Side Deli, on upper SE Hawthorne. The best goddamn sandwiches ever in the history of everything, and I consider myself a bit of a sandwich man. The BEST goddamn sandwiches. Get you one.
