This is seriously all the reason why I don't let me cats near bananas...after the third time..and with the third cat I finally learned my lesson. Glad to know I am not the only one...

My dog always acts like she wants whatever it is I am eating, if I show it to her for her to try she just walks away without even checking it out.

My cat, darling thing that she is, will lick anything she is unsure about. So you know she's not gonna eat it, but she won't leave you alone until the taste test, just to be sure.

They do it on purpose. "If I don't like it, you may not eat it either, or ever buy it again!"

My cats don't seem to care about bananas, but I've seen some online that eat them happily.

In other news, I got my book, tote, and Puppy keychain in the mail, and they're all awesome.

I am extra pleased to report that they keychain makes a FANTASTIC NECKLACE. I love it so.

This is practically a scene from my life! My cat Graham used to try to eat almost anything, but for some reason he never liked apples. But he'd still beg. I'd say, "Cat, you don't want this, you don't like this. We've been through this before." But he'd still meow till I held out a piece to him. Absolute nutter.

I offered my cat some sweet potato fries, because she was grubbing for fish and was NOT getting any. ...but she ate the fries.
Also, fruit roll-ups. Dayum Zeus loves her fruit roll-ups.

Seagulls are much more accepting. I shared a cookie with one before class today.

love this comic =) my bombay lisa is fascinated with bananas too... but thus far, she only seems interested in the end of the peel, as something to gnaw on.

she does like to rub against absolutely everything though... but food that does not meet her definition of food will instead fall under the category of toy -_- And thus dragged around, batted, and so forth. Scrambled eggs were wasted in this fashion, as well as some rotisserie chicken (though she liked the skin)

my, Lulu, cat looks exactly like Rook, and does that exact same thing with almost any food/object you stick in his face. If we got them together we wouldn't be able to tell them apart afterwards.

I had a cat that would eat occasional goldfish crackers. And make a huge pile of crumbs.

in a situation like that, I would have pulled off a little bit of the banana and see if Rook ate the little bit. if he did then 'wooooo' another thing he likes to eat. if he didn't then it'd just be a tiny bit wasted.

at least that's what I do with my cat. often she just likes to smell our breath after we eat something.

My boyfriend's cat once went uncomfortably out of her way to have some of my danish. I've also successfully fed her bits of potato chip, chinese food, and gelato. She doesn't like popcorn though :S

No matter what you are eating our cat ALWAYS needs to be able to stick her head in it to make sure she doesn't want some of it haha.

One will just lick and bite it outright if you put it in front of her. The other does what we call the 'spoon hand' where she'll curl her hand to grab a chunk and carry it off for investigation. The sisters do share one habit though. If they don't like the food, they punch it.

My Tai (also a black cat, hmm) would probably do this. She begs and begs and BEGS and begs and begs and...

Rook's silly. My dad's cats never had much to say about what we were eating. My friend's cat Elvis thinks every time someone's in the kitchen he's going to be fed.

My cat's favorite treats are bits of banana. She knows the sound of snapping one off the bunch or breaking open the peel, and will come running.

Hah, I have an idiot cat who freaks out and acts like he LOVES bananas, and won't leave me alone until I let him smell one. Then he sniffs it and recoils with the most disgusted look on his face...then goes back to sniff it again, repeat. Until I take the banana away from him and he starts crying for it again.

Cats are so stupid. I love them.
