Hey mean commenters, how are you today? I've been seeing an odd trend in several fun blogs I read, from food/cooking to art, and I do believe it is moving into other genres too. It involves leaving mean comments to the writer or content creator.

If you don't like the cat booger jokes, it's okay. If you don't like the marshmallow heart cream pie Cakespy posted on Serious Eats, don't cook it. But don't act as if the content creator has wronged you by posting it. You are voluntarily reading the blog and can stop at any time, and it would be unrealistic to think you will like every post, right?

Some people even write mean emails to the blogger about posts or an RSS feed change or something. I don't mean to make a flame war with this, but I don't see the benefit of being mean in the comments section. I think it's called "Johnny Wander" because it is a freeform wandering of various subjects and forms, which technically means cat boogers don't break any rules. I for one enjoy that freeform-ness.

I once lived with a sweet but disgusting Great Dane who routinely wiped a faceful of Alpo clean on our pants after he was done eating dinner. Usually he picked the one person who would be most grossed out!

I think pets see that as kind of our function in life...

haha that's gross but not as disgusting as what my cat used to do... he'd have sneezing fits, shoot a huge string of snot down his face, and then eat it >.<

If someone is mean, ignore them, or you are giving them what they want. You cannot argue with them, they are not here to discuss anything; they are here to be mean to an extent that garners reactions, because you will never be able to affect them.

Use wet tissues, 3 ply unscented tissues folded up into a square shape, wet it with a little bit of tap water, and then clean her face both eyes and nose.

I've got two boxers, and while they don't slobber as much as my last one, they like to sneeze all over my pants when i leave the house. -_-;;

I was having a pretty awful day, but upon viewing today's comic...I was sent into a fit of uncontrollable giggling...thanks. :)

I actually laughed out loud when I read this comic, I love it. My cat does this to me with her eye boogers. I love your comic, and I totally didn't notice any incontinuities with pony-cop, I was pleasantly surprised when pony started talking in the last strip though. So good, so good.

You guys were in Wisconsin and I missed it! I completely forgot Kitsunecon was in Appleton! I'm literally about 45 minutes away from there. Not that I could afford to attend a convention right now, but still. I'm a very sad panda right now.

I have a cat that I got from the local animal shelter and he brought home some respiratory problems, and cat boogers is one of them.

It is equally disgusting as it is terrifyingly mesmerizing to see the size of the boogers he shoots out of his tiny little nostrils. I'm talking... quarter sized, fairly solid globules that adhere to any and all surfaces at which they are launched.

A cat's tear duct is actually connected to the nasal passages; my vet showed me this once with bio-luminescent dye (my cat had a stuffed nose). In a healthy cat, it will flow freely from the corner of the eye out the nose.

A healthy cat's nose is usually slightly wet. Or damp, at least.

An overly runny nose can be a sign of illness or allergies.

Cat's have absolutely no issue with sneezing right into your face; however, it freaks them out if you sneeze anywhere in a 150 foot radius of them.

And my cat regularly wipes her nose on my chin, under the guise of affection.

This happens to me nearly every month. It's like he saves them just for me! My pillowcase, my pants..my purse. GRAH!

From everyone on staff, we hope you enjoyed the con and didn't freeze too badly or get too big a stomach ache from all the cheese curds, and I personally hope to squee at both of you again sometime.

I'm a preschool teacher so snot doesn't really bother me too much. Sometimes I think there's more snot and slobber on my shirt than on the tissues I wipe their faces with. 11 years of being surrounded by boggery, slobbery, germ infested walking petri dishes has de-sensitized me a bit. The only things that still bug me are poop and blood.

However, if a cat did this to me... that cat might end up going out a window.

I think that the reaction to this poor attempt at humor requires more Pony Cop comics as reparation for the harm you have inflicted upon your readers.

Failure to comply will result in both legal and illegal action being taken.

Sometimes I have to forcibly hold my cat's head still so I can wipe his boogers and eye-boogers for him. Clean yourself up, cat is right. Better than my dog who will come up to me on the pretense of being affectionate but who really just wants to wipe his mouth on my pants.
