Callie Eats Feathers DHP V:5 Print Pack!

Callie Eats Feathers DHP V:5 Print Pack!

Tue, 04/12/2011 - 14:15 by Ananth in response to carnivore-blocked

Poor Rook! The story of his cat life. If it's not birds, it's squirrels. Sometimes he'll wait for them to get close to the glass and then he'll throw himself against it. The noise scares 'em off and if one of us is in the kitchen at the time we'll quietly cheer.

Thanks everyone who came by and said hello at MoCCA! Pleasure to meet all y'all, as always.

You'll recall a while ago we did a short for Dark Horse Presents called Callie Eats Feathers - it was printed in Dark Horse Presents Vol. 5 along with a bunch of other great comics. Starting today we're offering the Callie Eats Feathers DHP V:5 Print Pack, which comes with a signed copy of the book and a signed 5x7" print of the Callie pinup that was up last Thursday. Here's the cover:

CMYcat shirts will be up Thursday! We have to do some post-MoCCA inventory.

See you Thursday!

Every time he throws himself

Every time he throws himself at the glass, he gets a little stupider.

Think about that for a sec.

Glad you all were at MoCCA! It was nice to say hello. I also really like the fedora Yuko drew on the critter in my copy of volume 1. Keep up the great work!

Rook, a city cat will never live life like a town cat, my cat victims are:

Lots of little lizards

Lots of cockroach

Rook is just like my cat, Boo. Love the kitty comics.

Russian Blue

Now if only Rook was a Russian Blue, things would be different. Damn those things are crafty

Aww. Does Rook ever "chirp"

Comment by Mary Sue (not verified) Wed, 04/13/2011 - 07:08

Aww. Does Rook ever "chirp" at the birds or squirrels? My cats wriggle and make a chirping "keck" noise at the birds when they see them outside. They get all twitchy at their Cat TV.

I dunno about Rook...

Comment by Pandiculator (not verified) Wed, 04/13/2011 - 18:36

I don't know about Rook, but my cat does the same thing - he's so frustrated/wants the birds so badly that he can't help but meow a little. It's probably one of the most funny things he does.

Don't troll your cat, guys. :< Vet bills are expensive.

I used to do this exact thing getting an outdoorfeeder with our cat since we figured he was bored being an indoor cat all the time. We'd laugh when he would hit the window when he'd try to jump at the birds or chipmunks feeding.

One day we heard a hit that was louder than usual and the next day we were noticing the cat was constantly having it's head tilted to one side and was unusually clumsy. We brought him to the vet and an X-ray showed that he had a skull fracture and a bone fragment was stuck in one of his eyes. We had to pay quite a bit for surgery and his recovering was close to 5 months.

We ditched the feeder and stuck to simpler toys for him, although, he isn't really as energetic as he used to be.

Our cats very rarely slam

Our cats very rarely slam into the windows, but they are constantly in the window sills, meowing at the birds and squirrels. We don't do anything to encourage it, like putting up a bird feeder, but they get plenty Cat TV without it.

My little black cat does the

My little black cat does the same thing! He also chirps at the birds and mimics the pigeon coos. Just be careful when you open the widow with just the screen as the blocker. My cat fell out once because he popped out the screen. He was fine, just startled.

Does Rook do that little chatter thing, too? X3
