Laundry cat

Thu, 07/21/2011 - 20:58 by Ananth in response to the ballad of laundry cat

Laundry cat! She is really friendly and greets us every time we come in. Aw.

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm still going through them, there's some good stuff in there.

This blog is extra short because it's just too hot to function. See you next week!

SO ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN CUTE!!!! XD I do say that Rook has some competition for cuteness! XD LOL

One of our neighbor's cats makes almost that exact sound, and casually wandered into our house one day looking to be pet.

Comment by Sabrina Ali (not verified) Thu, 07/21/2011 - 21:45

Guys I totally have a chirping cat, no jokes. It's the most adorable thing you'll ever hear. My head exploded into bits of candy and fluff the first time I heard her chirp. And she'll only chirp when she wants to be vocal; I rarely ever hear her meow.

Comment by smiffy (not verified) Thu, 07/21/2011 - 22:22

My cats chirp all the time at birds they see wandering outside our house.

And I hear you about the heat. I'm in Louisville, Kentucky and the heat index at 10:30 today was 100 even though it was really only 86 degrees at the time. Our heat index is suppose to be at 116 tomorrow.

It was 86 degrees in my room today. The A/C was on too. This is why I do not like summer.

I'm in Manhattan right now for vacation and I'm leaving tomorrow. Geez, I live in Texas, so I expected it to be cooler up north, but it isn't much different here. -A-;;

Comment by Ananth Fri, 07/22/2011 - 09:12

Oh no! Yeah, as it turns out it can get pretty hot in the city.

Comment by Trainer Kimmy (not verified) Sun, 07/24/2011 - 14:18

I think it has something to do with all the asphalt. The city of Atlanta used to be several degrees hotter than the surrounding area until they had this tree-planting campaign. I don't know if the increase in the amount of shade or whatever, but it's supposed to be cooler in the city.

I think it's funny that Yuko is playing Pokemon whilst Ananth is reading a book. Don't know who has the better idea.

Super de-duper cute!

I'm with you on the heat. I'm so ready for summer to end :(

Replacing the top screen of the DS brick is one of the easier repairs to do (esp. compared to repairing the DS lite)--doesn't even require opening up the bottom half of the case.

Comment by Nick (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 05:51

It's like my littlest cat, she runs around chirping all the time. If you walk past her and she runs away she chirps, jumps onto things and she chirps, if she wants attention she makes a high pitch squeal and a chirp lol.

They do some funny stuff them Caties.

Laundry cat

Comment by Matt Nelson (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 07:33

If the laundromat I went to had a laundry cat, it would be a million percent more awesome than it is now. Currently, it is a pit of unyielding drudgery and despair, and every time I set foot in it I have to remind myself that I am not there to end my own existence.

Hey, if it isn't too much

Comment by Forza (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 08:55

Hey, if it isn't too much trouble, could we see a photo of this laundry cat some time in the future? It may just multiply the cuteness of the cat :)

Why is Yuko blushing?

Comment by Robert V Aldrich (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 09:08

In the last frame, Yuko's blushing? Why is that?

Is cat attention like attention from a guy? If so, does being friendly with the laundromat cat mean a disloyalty to Rook?

Comment by Kaeleira (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 09:44

Aww, laundry cat is so cute and friendly! I love how effectively you captured her body language <3

Comment by Anonymous (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 10:25

Aww that is really cute! There is a cat by my friend's house and no matter what time of day it is, she will always be right there waiting to get petted the second you leave the confides of your vehicle. It's actually very frightening when you get out of your car at 1am and you hear "thrilling" in the darkness.

You should bring a camera and take pictures next time. I'm sure teh interwebz could use more cats.

I love the cat receptionist at my vet. She's always good for a headbutt. Then her assistant takes down my info..
There's also a nice cat clerk at the pet store..

Comment by Anonymous (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 20:42

Yuko. Why do all the cats love you!? ALL THE CATS! What secret pheromones do you emit that draw cats to you like electrons to positively charged atoms!?

Comment by Kelly (not verified) Fri, 07/22/2011 - 21:26

Oh good, I thought there was just something wrong with my cat. She hardly ever meows. She "speaks" almost entirely in high-pitched trills and chirps, and I agree that it is almost more cute than my mind can process. I'm glad she's not a mutant after all.

She also has a habit of tilting her head to one side as she does it, which multiplies the cute by a BILLIONJILLION.

I love cats. absolutely adore them. There's a pet store near where I live where they have this big old tomcat called, somewhat unimaginatively, Thomas, and he's ever so friendly to me. A touch slow given how fat he is, but very friendly. But the laundry cat looks so adorable and I wanna hug it. D:

So cuute! You Americans always get the cute cats. I adore them, and I'm going to steal all of them when I move.

Comment by Becca (not verified) Tue, 07/26/2011 - 21:42

Ohmigosh. I couldn't place that sound until I realized my cat DOES IT ALL THE TIME. Chirrrrrr. He mainly does it when he's in a playful mood. It doesn't really surprise me, though. He is super vocal. He will yell at you at all times, meows with his mouth closed (like whispering), and cackles at bird-like toys. Cakcakcakcakcak. Scared the hell out of me the first time he did it.

Oh Laundry Cat, I miss you!
