Surprise kitten

the extended ballad of laundry cat

Surprise kitten happened a month ago, and flipped our life upside down for a few weeks. We initially weren't sure if we were going to keep her, but then she and Rook became pals so that decided that. I'm sure we'll post some more comics about her in the next few weeks!

Oh, I just wanted to say ... you guys are my bros. Thanks for believing me about that wasp.

That's really cool! The same sort of thing happened to me last year. Except it was a cat that gave the kitten to me.... An old stray tom that hung around our house just brought us a kitten one day and MADE her stay with us. Very strange. Love that cat though :)

Name should be LC for Laundry Cat. This is how we named all of our pets. Had a cat that slept in a box wood cleaner came in, his name became woodcleaner or Woody. A stray dog adopted us, he became Other Dog or OD.

Dawww!! I'm so glad you guys were able to keep her, especially since you already have a cat. That she and Rook are buddies now is just awesome. :D Makes me so wish I wasn't allergic to cats. :( Is her name still "Laundry Cat"? or did you come up with a new name for her? :)

That kind of thing is how my parents got all three of their cats, one born under a friend's porch, one at the stables of a friend, and, another popped out of the bushes when they were on a walk and followed them about 3 blocks home.

Does this new cat have a name yet?

Love Yuko's art compared to the cat, really pulls off the wide-eyed expression the she must have. Cats that aren't familiar with each other away take time to get used to one another.

I have had many cats through my family and one time I thought my mother's older cat would never give my younger cat the time of day. Then one time I saw my cat follow my mother's cat out into the field. Something happened out there, something wonderful (and probably rabbit killing related) that made them..amicable.

Surprise kitty has the BIGGEST eyes I have ever seen! I love her to DEATH and I am so glad that her and Rook get along!

Her name should be Surprise, or some derivative thereof.

The laundry cat reminds me of this news in the UK about a woman who accidentally put her cat into the washing machine along with the rest of her clothes. :| Thank goodness the cat was safe.

Your new cat has almost the exact same coloration as my cat, right down to the spots on her nose and chin! And she's so cute! I'm glad Rook didn't become territorial. How old is Rook?
