oh you! A friend of mine actually got started on parkour last year, and she says it's the workout of a lifetime. She's in school as a dancer, and does jazz and aerobics, but she told me that the exercise for it was crazy. And apparently it takes a couple years of training to safely jump like what you're talking about.

I suggest using a parking lot and duct tape to mark out the dimensions you would have to jump over/across for your real life testing program.

This makes me think of Marshall from How I Met Your Mother during the season 4 (I think) finale.

Me and my shattered tibia can assure you that you can not. Can't wait for Uncharted 3 (should be healed up by then).

When I played Uncharted 2, I've always wondered how Drake has the ability to climb/jump up ladders the way he does. =|

All you have to do is sprout your wings, like Chance D'Estaing, and then you can glide over instead of jumping.

(PS thanks for making me discover the three albums of Freaks' Squeele. They were just waiting there at the public library, all in a pristine condition as if no one had taken them out before)

Squats, lunges, calf raise, reverse crunches, and inverted lower back crunches will give you will give you the hops you so desire.

Work your way up to fifty each, then try and to them in less then ten minutes, and then go for twice in one day.

Once you can do the workout twice in one day; you shall be physically prepared to get mad hops. Now go and pursue hops grasshopper!!

Not across a street or even an alley. But parkour and similiar activities are a LOT of fun. Just start small and don't bite off more than you can chew.

Should I be embarrassed about the fact that I thought of The Matrix when I saw the second panel?

I remember wondering who the hell set-up and maintained all of those one-time use traps and puzzles for Drake to destroy/explode his way through when I played Uncharted 2.

And who killed all those people with conveniently placed grappling hooks and ropes that can hold a person after 60 years being frozen in ice.

My girlfriend and I are the same way thanks to Assassin's Creed. We'll be watching something on television displaying historical buildings and landmarks and both say to ourselves, "I could climb that." In many cases we've even recognized actual landmarks from pictures and TV because we actually DID have to climb them in game!

Actually spiderman 3 just kind of ruined the franchise for me. But I do enjoy the idea of jumping from building to building. I guess the Tick does it too. I bet I could

just to say... i finally made my second batch of Ecto Cooler the other day.

As in, I finally have a blender to call my own, and got round to doing the final round of freeze-concentration of the remaining grape juice. Had JUST enough mint left out of some fresh stuff my mum gave me out of her garden. Grabbed some spinach, cheap ginger ale, bag of ice from the supermarket...

Worked well :-) Blended it somewhat harder than we had dared to with my friend's mothers antique liquidiser and made a proper smoothie rather than a slushie. It was a warm sunday afternoon rather than a cool night. Went outside with a book and a tumbler of the stuff (rest went in the fridge to be demolished over the rest of the day) and had an enjoyable chillout on the apartment block's shared lawn. Til it clouded over, brr.

Went inside and experimented adding spirits to it. Vodka was... ok. Whiskey works very nicely. Forgot to dig out the gin and had the last dose straight, after adding a little more spinach and ice. That was maybe a mistake.

Will play about with other variations in future. Maybe fresh ginger? Peppermint? Strawberries / raspberries for a butt-end-of-summer fruit cooler? Chilis and cinnamon for a winter time variation? :-)

I've been playing through the Assassin's Creed games of late, and now when I walk by the cathedral near my work on my way to get lunch I always think that Altair/Ezio went about that sort of thing entirely the wrong way, and that it *would* be fun to get up on the roof.
