This has actually happened to me so much, but it's always a permanent marker for me... I'm beginning to question my use of markers.

I'm torn between wanting one as soon as possible and wanting to pick one up from you guys in person at a show.

So that's why I always have marker,pen or highlighter marks on my hand !!!

P.S Just saying as a few artist (waaaaaaay less talented than you lol) I liked how you colored the marker/pen so it focuses your eyes to whats happening, it's really clever!

I've totally done that before! And diggin the spot color.

This reminds me of when, not too long ago, I cut my hand while shaving. I was shaving my face.

Ahahaha, I have done this before. This is why I try to use pens/pencils that don't have caps and markers that let me put the cap on the rear of the marker.

Yuko why are you scribbling on that paper with a pink sharpie you are wasting the ink.

If I could count all the times this has happened to me with a pen. At one point I just started drawing things from the face-squiggles.

I stopped opening pens with my mouth do to the accidental huffing of pen fumes that resulted.

I find my problem is forgetting whether I have a ballpoint pen clicked open or closed, so I accidentally write all over my hand when I'm holding it.

Just curious, at one point you guys mentioned you would try to have more CMY Cat shirts up, is that still going to happen? Would love to get one in addition to the two books.

Oh good. I thought I was the only one who did that.

I totally do this too, except it doesn't just happen with my face. I keep ruining my shirts from ink stains. (I often think it is closed but find out too late that it doesn't have the cap on it. Bah humbug!)

Oh, and this also happens with rinsing paint in my coffee.

By the way, I really enjoy your comics. They are simply delightful. :)

I do that five days a week, but usually I just dot various parts of my hand repeatedly. Third time- usually the charm.

First there's Meredith Gran throwing her gym shorts in a toilet by accident, and now Yuko's putting on war paint. Who's next?

Yeah....that's way more un-fun when it's a needle instead of a pen.
Yes, all of us vet-types know not to recap a needle....but we all do because...it's just a thing you do.
And every once in a while you accidentally stab yourself in the lip.

And it hurts like a mofo.

That's why they tell people to not cap syringes now: similar (and more serious) problem.

What's the situation with the phoenix down shirts? Any chance of having them in the store before christmas? I mean, it does take time for them to arrive to Europe via mail.

I've had this happen to me before, so I learned a neat little trick:

Keep a little bottle of alcohol-based purell with you at all times. Permanent marker is alcohol-soluble, so it'll come off if you wash with it.

Simply take a tissue, plop a gob of purell on it, rub the affected area(s) and scrub it out. Repeat until gone. It gets rid of most, if not all, permanent markers.

I'm always scared of doing that, so the recapping is a very careful operation.

I've highlighted my face like that WAY to many times to count.

My friends tell me not to chew on pens, but I don't listen and this is my punishment.
