I buy the worst kinds of foods when I'm hungry. Fast food sounds so much better when your gut is rumbling.

Shopping hungry will cloud your judgement: Not only that you'll buy the food you want to eat or sounds yummy to eat, but after you've eaten, you'll realize you bought all the wrong things! It's a total waste of money.

Lunch first, shop later. No regrets.

THIS IS WHAT I WAS LIKE THE OTHER DAY when I went shopping Ananth I feel for you ;c;

It's not only like that when I'm hungry, it's the same when I feel that I need a reward for something (like finishing a project or when I finish work early).

Luckily, my girlfriend and I usually go grocery shopping together, so we try to keep each other from buying stuff on a whim. Knowing or planning what you're going to have for dinner certainly helps as well.

And now to make shopping for you all the more difficult. Did you know that Girl Scout cookies can be found in your local supermarket? No seriously. One of the companies that makes the cookies is a subsidiary of Keebler, which makes the more popular cookies all year round under a different name. Thin Mints are known as Keebler Grasshoppers and Samoas are known as Keebler Coconut Dreams. Good luck trying to resist cookie shopping now that you know.

I kind of did that this week, but with chips...but I also wasn't super hungry. It's like, I went to the grocery store because I had no food but I didn't know what I wanted but I felt I had to buy stuff, so I bought a loaf of bread and like 3 things of chips.

If I shop hungry I buy a cake or mini wings/wyngz to eat in the car. It's so shameful.

I actually did basically this on Monday. The whole time I was thinking "Jonathan, you're hungry, shouldn't you be more carefully about what you're buying?" and the hungry part of me went "NOPE."

It ended with me at home with £30 of groceries that could fit in two bags. I believe I may also have smoked a cigarette while lying on my bed in exhaustion, I'm not sure.

i dunno, i think Ananth has the right idea about the best groceries to buy. cookies have everything you need in a balanced meal: sugar and awesome.

i wonder if you've got any idea when volume one will be back in stock, by the way?

If I shop hungry I buy whatever I'm in the mood for at the time and ignore stuff I'm not.. which later.. I might wish I'd gotten!
but if I shop full I barely buy anything because it's all too expensive and low quality..

Yeah, this is basically me everytime I go shopping.

literally the hardest thing to do PROPERLY. if i go shopping hungry, i'll reach for so much junk and pull back and tell myself "no you can't buy that!" but then i'll realize i'm looking into other peoples' carts and thinking "WOW THAT LOOKS TASTY" and it's a terrible experience of hunger and nosiness.
my point is: i understand completely.
