Negotiating for benefits!
Yuko's in Japan! She'll be back next week. I'm going to keep this short since I have to get back to work - catch you next week!
There's actually eighty quarters in a twenty. One hundred quarters is twenty-five dollars.
Maybe that's the joke? That the kid doesn't know either....
that or he's being EXTREMELY sarcastic. Sassy 11 year old; maybe he IS a vampire child
The bad math is the joke. The scroll over comment is "Not a mathematician."
Pretty sure the kid is condescending Penny about it as well.
Damn this kid is a pro interviewer
I am consistantly stunned by the character design and facial expression in these. Like, i just keep staring at the second panel because HER EYES and LOOK HOW HERE HAIR MOVES TO MATCH HER EXPRESSION and GAAAAAH
I guess being called a vampire really won the kid over.
I sincerely hope that the kid (and not the parents?) pay her in 20$ shift blocks, and then give her 100 quarters instead.
The joke is that they make fun of her bad math by paying her too much?
I can be bad at math!
Oh, she's so cute when' she's angry! She has so many ways of showing it! Now, it's been three full episodes of angerrrr, so I feel like I'm in heaven.
This story is moving nowhere...funny you would tag it "short stories", it's been going on forever already and i don't see any point emerging.
You sir, come back every day. You are a joy to behold in your stupidity.
If you want a short story you can finish in one sitting, go buy a book. This is a serial comic, dude.
thats quite a lot of chutzpah youre packing there man. make sure you dont accidentally get punched in the face really hard some day.
Man, I just can't like Penny. She wonders why she's "unlucky", well I could tell her right here it's because all she does is make bad decisions after bad decisions after bad decisions...
Starts with the bad decision of talking to the kid beyond a polite question about where the owners are, then having a negative attitude towards the owner's kid, then getting mad, then letting the kid control her as though she's in an interview, etc...Penny, will you think ANYthing out? Are you an adult at all? PENNNYYYYY WHYYYYY
A pile of chiclets?
Yeah, Penny's pretty much a man-child. Likable regardless.
80 quarters...in a 20...no??
I find this series highly enjoyable, and Penny is wonderfully relatable. c: While I miss the usual oneshots and real-life comics, I think this is a pretty fair trade, all-in-all.
At least I can read the "No" in the last panel.
A double-header! The stupidity is out of the park this time folks, it's outta sight! What a great show!
