I was actually gone this weekend ...

without cable we cannot be sure anyway

... so this happened while I was away! But I hear John said it very deadpan, and then immediately returned to eating. These things happen.

The Superbowl was this past Sunday! I was in an airport for most of it, and everyone there was glued to the TVs. You could hear people cheering and yelling every time something important happened. It was an interesting experience.

Speaking of the Superbowl, this bit of news is circulating around -- eh, I'll quote the Gizmodo article:

"With under three minutes left and just after Larry Fitzgerald's heroic comeback(ish) touchdown for the Cardinals, the video feed abruptly switched to a scene from stablemate channel Club Jenna, treating viewers to the sight of seemingly omnipresent porn guy Evan Stone swinging his junk around like a maniac. This interlude lasted about 30 seconds."

I don't know who the football player or the porn star are, but ... hahaha, it's tough not to laugh. Yuko's brother lives out in Tucson, so she's been trying to get ahold of him for personal confirmation. Good times.

By the way, for those of you that came by and said hi during Ohayocon - thanks! It was a pleasure to meet alla you. I gave away the webcomics fundraiser postcards that Yuko did to anyone who came by the table and mentioned Johnny Wander ... I'll probably do the same thing at every convention. ;) It'll be a tradition!

It has been all over the local news here in southeastern Arizona. Apparently the Comcast cable feed which get it feed from a fiber line ran from Cox cable line who gets there feed from a direct fiber line feed from local NBC affiliate . Only Comcast customers saw about this 30 second feed of porn. And Comcast,Cox, or the NBC affiliate do not know what has happen. I think some hacked Comcast because they meter their Cable internet.

I personally think that the superbowl should be turned into a fight to the death between the two teams and their fans. The winning team would be the one with the most people left by the time the cops manage to break it up.

A friend of mine did something similar once... Years ago, we're all sitting around watching Tombstone, and he-- totally deadpan --says "It's a good thing they made this before Val Kilmer died." We all just stopped and stared at him. After sitting there looking like he has no idea why we're staring at him, he goes "Well, he's not dead!" And we all facepalm. CLASSIC.

Lol! I think everyone's had a moment like that, one of my friend's said the funniest thing. we were watching some war movie in this history class (I think "Fullmetal Jacket"), there was this scene where one of the protagonist killed two dudes at the sametime and at that moment my friend basically just shouted "DOUBLE KILL"! at the top of his lungs.

Funny I was watching that game and I had no idea that happened(I lives in Tucson too, btw)! But i have Sat TV and not comcast, so that's probably why. >_>0 Funny as always keep up the great work!

I live in Tucson and watched the superbowl. I caught the porn replay in all of its terrible glory.

When it was over, I was laughing so hard I thought I might die. All I could think was "God, I hope somebody's kids just saw that."

I'm not into sports, but when i hear about things like that, I kick myself for not watching. It all started years ago with the whole "Janet Jackson-boob" thing (I was a preteen(i think) then, so I was just beginning to become a pervert XD)

saw the video and what John Madden say at the end of it is funny" It the perfect guy in the perfect situation” but apparently a feed crossed over from one of Comcast pay-per-view channels on to the NBC feed is what they are saying now. I guess little jimmy want to learn about sex. I live south in Sierra Vista so we can only get Cox or satellite
