I guess I'm not the only one who got the Initial D vibe from that story. I'm pretty well acquainted with the feeling though. :P

My father is most certainly a Fujiwara Bunta type character... I can't ride in a car with that man anymore. One minute, it will be a nice leisurely drive, and the next it's "OH LOOK, there's no traffic on this winding forest road!" and suddenly we're in the WRC. Riding shotgun with him, I've experienced enough Gs to be a fighter pilot, and enough weightlessness to be an astronaut. D;

Initial D is also his favorite anime...not that I introduced it to him ON PURPOSE...

Me: *Happily watching Initial D*
Dad: *Having approached unnoticed* Oh hey, what're you watching?
Me: GWEH! Err..uh... Nothing. *Click!*
Dad: Was that...a Sprinter Trueno?
Me: Y-yes... Yes it was. -_-;
My Brain: nuuuuuuu~ we're dooooomed~ orz

This reminds me of my brother. we have a hardly use street near by with a 25 MPH speed limit. he does 80. :/

Lol old anime references. Also, my dad does something similar with respect to driving, while my mom is almost the opposite...and worries when whoever is driving is the slightest bit over the speed limit. Oh how different parents can be. Though I tend to follow that rule that Kevin posted as well...no tickets either so far.
