There is nothing nicer

... than the texture of a new buzz cut. John is the only person I know who gets his hair cut that short, so he's the only one I harass about these things.

OH, while I'm here, two things. First, there is only one day left until the score on my Threadless design finishes. So give it a score if you feel inclined to.

Also, it should be mentioned that we are both going to be guests at Connecticon in Hartford, CT from July 31st to August 2nd. The con is always real nice to us, hopefully we will see some of you there!

Nope, that's pretty accurate, John is a veritable giant.

Also, Connecticon? Really? I heard the guy who works with the webcomics people there is a big dumb jerkhead? Isn't that true?

He can be, but normally he is pretty nice. just not when he's stressed to the limit. just like everybody else at cons.
I can get pretty angry pretty fast when its 2 in the monring and i've been working for 2 days straight.

I'm barely over 5', and John's 6'BILLION, so it's pretty awkward when we stand next to each other. Also, I am infamous for exaggerating how short I am.

I constantly catch myself rubbing the hair above my neck (the only bit short enough to be fuzzy) after a haircut. Is a nice feeling!

Also hi, found Johnny Wander via Yuko's Twitter via her Livejournal via Fallen via Questionable Content archive trawl. I'm probably one of the few who does said trawl and ends up at Fallen, but maybe a link on its front page would yield a few readers? Just a humble suggestion. Great comic, avidly following. :)

My military husband gets a buzz cut, and I sincerely agree, it is an awesome texture. He actually just got his cut again today and I spend far too much time petting his head. :)

Ahaha~ My dad was in the military until not too long ago and he used to take all the kids out when he went to get his hair cut. It's a strange sight seeing two little girls hanging on a grown man because they want to feel up on his head.

Yes! I do this to *everybody* when they get their hair cut, no matter how long or short (and when they don't get their hair cut, come to think of it). It is mandatory.

If you get a haircut, Yuko gets to rub your head (if she wants to). This is the haircut tax, passed on since time immemorial.

I used to get a buzz cut all the time as a kid. I got a little traumatized tho and I don't cut it that short anymore. Had a ~40 year old friend of my parents randomly walk up behind me at a get-together and start rubbing my hair. She didn't say anything, just rubbed it for a few minutes and then walked away. NEVER AGAIN.

This is quite possibly the main reason why I don't get my hair cut that short anymore. It's kinda cute when the first person does it, but it gets a little old when everybody you see wants to pet you every time they see you for the first two weeks after it's chopped.

When I was a kid, my mom would always give me a buzz cut. Then, for weeks afterwards, my family would rub my head and say, "Oh, Great Googly..."

How tall are you Yuko? I ask because I have a feeling we're around the same height xD Half my friends are over or just under 6" [They were all fed growth hormones I swear] and the other half are all taller than me by a few inches.

It's been a long while since I've measured myself, but I'm somewhere just over 5'. I might just be scraping 5'2", I think? Or maybe that is wishful thinking.
