There is nothing nicer

... than the texture of a new buzz cut. John is the only person I know who gets his hair cut that short, so he's the only one I harass about these things.

OH, while I'm here, two things. First, there is only one day left until the score on my Threadless design finishes. So give it a score if you feel inclined to.

Also, it should be mentioned that we are both going to be guests at Connecticon in Hartford, CT from July 31st to August 2nd. The con is always real nice to us, hopefully we will see some of you there!

People did the same thing to me when I get a buzz cut. I remember the barber, a young lady, just finishing and rubbing my head and saying 'it feels like a puppy!'

OMG haircut tax! That's an awesome term. I used to do this to friends when they got their hair buzzed, but I don't know anyone who cuts their hair that short anymore :(

I don't know why but I think a short girl next to an uber tall guy is incredibly adorable, so I definitely like this comic XD. I myself am a fairly short girl (5'2") and I'm only attracted to a guy if my face only comes up to his chest...Am I weird for that? D:

My sister calls this kind of hair "peach fuzz." peachypeachy peach fuzz. Needless to say, she enacts a haircut tax too. just... Not half as cute as teeny yukos.

Yuko, I'm glad to see you have your Fallen Comic back up. I just started reading it this evening, when I had to stop after the first page. Looking at the picture there, I couldn't help but notice...John?! Is he making a cameo appearance in your comic?

And this is the absolutely cutest comic you have done so far. The second would be the one about Ananth's socks.

Actually, I stopped doing that comic well before I knew John. So sorry, no. I'm actually not even certain of what page you're referring to. >_o (I guess it is for the best that the things I drew in high school are a blur...)

I think one of my friends got a buzz cut a while back so she could have a head full of fuzzy buzzy goodness, and funnily enough no one wanted to touch her head, I guess being female warps the whole thing?

I would just like to say that, this evening, one of my roommates took his hair down to a #1. I saw him in the kitchen, reached out my hands, and declared "HAIRCUT TAX".

Unfortunately he had not thoroughly dried his hair.

I like getting buzz cuts because they're cheaper, but oh goodness the clippings. For some reason I just cannot get rid of them when I get buzzed. Like 3 days and 5 showers later I'll scratch my head and they'll still fall out.

I used to get buzz cuts all the time and had that problem. I figured it out though...it's the rest of your hair falling out because it's depressed from losing their body...its only a theory though.

I'm 4'10/11" and every one feels the need to remind me of that every day as if something's changed. What's funny is that I'm only a sophomore in High School and so many people think I'm a senior or junior XD

And when a friend of mine gets a buzz cut I just sit next to them and rub their head until they leave. I might get half of one myself soon.

I started getting my hair buzzed about half way through high school and I only had one girl who wanted to rub my head. I feel so deprived!! DX

But that was some time ago, so senility could have sent in and I have forgotten a few. I just know that I didn't have a bunch of girls coming up to rub my head.

As for the height thing...yeah I am like John. I'm between 6'3" and 6'4" and one of my past friends was...4'...? I thought it was funny that I could hold my arm out straight and she walk under it without ducking. She didn't think it was so funny and it was a pain trying to drive her car though...I usually ended up being the one sitting behind her.

I know what you mean about the hair! I used to have friends that kept their hair that short. But I don't get to see them anymore. :( So it's nice when my younger brother comes home and I can do that to him. He's a Marine so his hair is perpetually cut that way. hehe

I know a girl who maintains a buzz cut. For orientation last year she had someone buzz a maze into her hair :D it was nifty

-v- buzzcuts are nice, arne't they? I have my hair buzzed, and my buddy has a military 'do or shorter, so we always rub each others' heads after a cut...

In a way this makes me all kinds of sad, I am 4'8 easily the shortest in my family. Also commenting on the comic when I saw it it seemed strange to me, all the girls I have talked to from what I remember they always disliked the buzzcut thing, my crush in highschool hated it I have no idea about anyone in my class because I really don't talk to anyone my age there only the older adults. Well enough of my rambling this is only my second comment and I must say your comic is really great(^^)

awesome! All the guys I hang out with have really long girly hair so the 'haircut tax' for me is braiding it XD that is if I knock out their knees (I'm 5' 2" and everyone else is 6'+) or they're indulgent of me that day. But the guys get the fuzzy buzz cut tax with me which they laugh at cause I'm the only girl.
