Our buddy George had clued us in to the Protomen a little while ago, and their music is a lot of fun - to sum up, Megaman Rock Opera. They played two shows last Saturday, one in Manhattan and the other in Brooklyn, and we went to both (Darryl joined us in Brooklyn) - ohhhh man. These guys rocked Manhattan, but they blew the doors off the Brooklyn venue. The drummer, Reanimator, threw his drumstick to George, who caught it - WITH HIS FACE. Awesome.
The kitchen sink was full! So ... wait ... no. Conrad what are you doing?!
Actually, I heard Yuko from down the hall and took it as a matter of course. Sometimes there's just spaghetti in the sink. These things happen.
Not a whole lot to say today! Got a lot of stuff ordered today, so there should be some new things in the JW store in the very near future! Oh, these will be going up pretty soon actually,

Diwali was a few days ago (Saturday 10/17 to be exact) so this is a little late, but we did a comic about the Japanese New Year a little while ago and I figured this could be a similar sort of thing! Sorry that it's a wall of text - these things happen sometimes. Diwali actually gets celebrated over the course of several days in India, and it's loud and festive and a lot of fun. And the food! That's my favorite part.
Read the alt text, hahahaha. Oh Yuko.
Our word game escalated ... Yuko and I both grew up devouring anything we could read about prehistory, so our vocabularies on that point are pretty good (although Yuko is the undisputed champ). Here's a breakdown of the animals we're actually referring to, for your convenience (from beginning to end):
This isn't entirely true; John used Conrad's empty room as his office for a couple of weeks, and he's here on an almost daily basis. But ... John sometimes comes over and does our dishes, which, while awesome, also makes us all feel very very guilty.
It should be noted: our days are hardly ever this interesting. We just lucked out on having an especially adventure-y day on Tuesday. Thank you again to Dave and Raina for meeting us at Nickelodeon, showing us around and overall being friendly and lovely people. For those of you don't know, Dave Roman is one of the editors of Nickelodeon Magazine, which is shutting down at the end of the year, after nearly 20 years of publication. It's a sad story, a lot of cartoonists got
I know I mentioned this in the blog comments, but I'll say it again: today is Ananth's birthday! Happy birthday, Ananth! 8D
Two of my favorite people in the world, Kyle and Jenn, got married in South Carolina a few years back, back around the time Yuko and I started dating ... so this chronicles something a little older. It's weird because I filled out the forms digitally in MD -- so someone mispelled a printed name. Go figure! I can say this: Yuko has gotten plenty of mileage out of it.
It's been a year and a hundred comics! H-HOW DID THIS HAPPEN
Thank you everyone for sticking around. We hope you've been enjoying your stay. :D
Yuko wore a skirt the first day of SPX, which as we have previously established is mighty unusual! It was mega cute, though - despite all of the exclamations, she got plenty of compliments. And despite that huge grin she drew me with in the first panel, it wasn't my idea for her to wear it! Totally self-motivated. She also got a new haircut which she decided she hates but really it is pretty cute.
