The dog is a Weimaraner, and Lela's the only one who can say it. According to Wikipedia, the color of its fur also led to the nickname, "The Grey Ghost", which I'm down with. Because it's easier to say than Murmur ner mur.
There's a fine line to walk when it comes to being a regular! From my personal experience if they know your name it's too much. But if they know what you order, that's perfect.
A couple of things to talk about!
First, we'll be at Big Apple Comic Con in NYC this coming weekend! Come by and see us, we'll have books, t-shirts and more.
This is about our drive up to Toronto for TCAF! With us in the car are Dave Roman and Raina Telgemeier! Dave and Raina are both cartoonists - Dave's newest book coming out is Astronaut Academy, and Raina is the cartoonist behind Smile, which you've undoubtedly seen gracing the shelves at book stores. I'm glad I finally have an excuse to write about them - they are two of the most welcoming people on the planet!
Some Tired Tuesday art, we're in catch-up mode today.
TCAF was wonderful! Thanks for coming by and saying hello! And Toronto is a lovely town, as always. We made new friends and saw some familiar faces, A+ weekend all around.
The Cat-mera charms and earrings all sold out! Unexpectedly quickly, again ... I am getting the feeling you guys like them or something. We're ordering more this week, so sorry about that! There are still some patches left, if those are of interest.
Hope some of you made out to the Adam Warrock show last night! It was a lot of fun. He's doing another show in May at the Littlefield, so put that on your calendars!
Good news for everyone who missed out last time: We'll be re-releasing the Cat-mera phone charms/keychains next week! And we'll also be selling some of them as EARRINGS for those of you who'd like that. We'll also be adding these patches to the store:
Yuko's post-bargle phonecall home!
Just wanted to say, thank you everyone who chimed in or e-mailed us about Tuesday's comic! Admittedly I was a little concerned (probably moreso than Yuko), so it was reassuring to know that there are other people who know what this is all about. And if it was your first time learning about it, I hope it helped! If you sift through the comments there were a few that linked to further reading. You guys & gals are great.
