It was mega gross, oh man.
EDIT: Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes from last week! You guys and gals are really nice and I realized I forgot to thank ya.
NYCC info will be up on Thursday! Yuko's got two signings, and we'll be in the webcomics area tabling with Frank and Becky of Tiny Kitten Teeth and next to Evan and Kel! A very thorough info post will be up on Thursday, so look for it then.
I like it when things smell nice, but I don't like going into places that sell them. It's always an intense everysmell! The clothing store, I don't even get that. Is the idea to make customers pass out from the overwhelming cologne and then place you inside some sort of retail maze? And you're trapped in there with an angry minotaur in skinny jeans? That makes sense right?
Anyway we always hold our breath and jog through the odor miasma in front of stores like that.
That's all! See you next week!
Hey all! No punchline today! We left NYC and came to MD just as the season rolled over. The air gets a little crisper and you break out the hoodies and jackets, and that's always a very tangible moment for me and I finally decided to make something of it. We'll get back to the jokes next week!
Just a reminder, any orders made now will ship after October 3rd: we're out of town till then! Thanks for understanding!
That's all for us - see you next week!
Yuko took a trip to the Museum of Natural History in DC while we were in town for SPX, and these are some of the dinos she drew. My favorite is the allosaurus skull in the upper right corner. So sleek, it just needs a racing stripe.
Just a reminder, we're out of town so any orders made for the next 1.5 weeks will be shipped when we return to NYC! We're in DC for my best friend's wedding and it is getting c-c-c-crazy in here! We're out, catch you Tuesday!
I actually only dropped one tic tac, but ... Ugh, that peanut was pretty gross! That's what I get for my hubris, I guess.
Orders are going to be running a little later than usual - Yuko and I are going to be away for a week and a half in DC for my best friend's wedding. The comic will update as usual, but we won't be able to do any shipping till we get back. So that is just a heads up on that!
We realized it'd been a while since Conrad's been in JW (he moved to Queens so he could be closer to work), and that got us thinking ... just what IS Conrad up to these days? He was in Taipei for work, but during his off-hours he made friends with people at a local bar - surprising none of us, who know that if there's one person who could befriend anyone human or alien, it's Conrad. He's back in NYC now - welcome back man! Hope the trip was good.
Hey everyone! SPX was a lot of fun, but we spent most of yesterday on the road and we're TAURtally tired ... so today's update is just doodles from Sunday night, some lesser known Taurs for your amusement. Thanks everyone who came by and bought something and/or said hello - pleasure to meet you all!
Yuko also did some drawings of Jade, the three-legged pug who delighted SPX. Take a look:
I played Uncharted 1 & 2 recently and there is an awful lot of jumping! Actually, there are a lot of video games with an awful lot of jumping, but Un2 tested reality just enough that I began to wonder if I couldn't perhaps make a few jumps myself.
SPX is this weekend! We'll be there with books, prints, catmera charms and whatever else we can bring along! Here's a floor map for your convenience (look for the balloons at D8!):
