Mort was the landlord in Rochester, and he was an odd guy. If he was an action figure, he'd come with a bottle in a brown paper bag, a cigarette, and spackle, and if you pushed the button on his back he'd say one of his Mort-isms, in the voice of Watto (the little flying scrap dealer in Phantom Menace). There were a lot! You'll probably see more Spacklehaus memoirs in the near future - we talked about living there during one of our panels at I-Con, and it brought everything (hilariously) back.
You guys might recall this comic from way back when - sometimes dreams do come true.
Hey guys! I know many of you are headed to PAX East, but we will be at I-Con in Long Island this weekend! If you're free and in the area, come by and say hello. We'll be bringing all the JW merch we can carry, and we'd love to say hey! We'll be sharing a table with Mookie of Dominic Deegan.
Hey everyone! This happened post-IKEA - I've had the script in reserve for a little while now. John loves to build everything (I like to do it too, but I think he gets more out of it). Actually, he and Yuko built Rook some cat steps that they bolted to the wall in the living room - we'll post photos some time.
Yuko's got a tradition of making corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's day, and this year we had Jisuk over. We tend to warn people about Rook's skittishness, but sometimes it's unnecessary! Rook knows what's up.
I'm under a deadline so I sadly have to make this quick, but Puppy the Basilisk totes are up!
Guys this cat loves to talk, he is like a terrible cat Seinfeld (only Rook would never make Bee Movie, no way).
Basilisk tote bags are up! They are pretty adorable,
Click through on the photo if you like!
AHHHH okay so the comic is up! And if you click here or go back a page in the archive, we put up a little something Yuko drew at the airport in lieu of Tuesday's strip. Sorry about that!
AHHH we just got back, there's clearly no comic! Yuko's been working on it, but our schedule got a little shuffled because of our travel and flights this week - it happens, unfortunately!
The comic is coming, Yuko's inking now! Thank for your patience!
Hey guys! Today's comic cameos Aaron Diaz, master of all things Dresden Codak. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of dinosaurs that dwarfs Yuko's (it is pretty jaw-dropping!). Aaron's now our lifeline for all things dinosaur. We've been hanging out at the studio that he and Meredith Gran share -- the space is pretty huge, and I'm a little jealous. Also, Heidi is the raddest lil' doggie.
Hey guys! Today's guest comic is from Sophie Goldstein over at Darwin Carmichael is going to hell, a delightful comic that you should check out if you have a moment.
Yuko and I are in Portland right now! We'll be there till the 10th, visiting George and other folks. Comics ought to be on time, but forgive us any delays should they happen.
Have a great week, see you Thursday!
Hahahaha Rachelle came to visit and this was one of Conrad's finer moments ... he always knows just what to say. You could see the full range of emotion Shell was going through in the span of about thirty seconds. (ALSO I'M SORRY RACHELLE)
