Yuko has mentioned the sweet potato plant in comics past - we left for one weekend and we came back it had exploded! Yuko was very pleased. I'm waiting for it to outgrow its pot and choke us in our sleep. You'll see.
Rook came with us to visit Yuko's parents at the end of 2010. They also have two cats - Mika and Gonta - and this was the first time all three cats met in an event I like to call the CROSSOVER!! I've got a few scripts about the CROSSOVER!! lying around and I'm sure they'll crop up every once in a while over the next few weeks or months. This one's about Mika and Rook and how well they got along. Like two peas in a pod! If one pea was very, very angry.
Littered in coffee grounds! They've got to be. One day years from now they'll start scraping them off and add a new item to the menu. Just for you, John.
If the horse represents my feelings!! My family did Christmas but we weren't super into it and I don't understand your strange customs!! Whatever Christmas is over!
These are some snippets from our holidays - we've been intending to do something like this for a while, and you'll likely see more in this format crop up. The night if the snowstorm Yuko Initial Y'd it and Tokyo-drifted us all the way home. Some nice driving! Also, I got her a new hat with lots of snaps and buttons -- I think she likes it!
When asked to comment, Yuko Ota grumbled loudly and left the room.
In case you were wondering, our eggistential crisis is over. Thanks for all the recipe suggestions!
Rook actually came to Yuko's parents' house with us this year! Which means he's meeting Mika and Gonta, which means you guys will get some comics out of it. I've got notes for a lot of 'em, so I'm going to wait a little bit and cull out the best stuff.
I don't hate eggs, and they're not terribly eggspensive, but ughhh. I guess I should have eggspected to get sick of them, especially when the rate of consumption goes up eggsponentially.
There's nothing I can do to make that better for you, so I'll just leave it there. Please, don't thank me. I do it for you.
EDIT: Reader Nate and his lovely girlfriend sent us a corrected version of the comic. Thanks guys!
True story: I once made grilled cheese with a hairdryer in college! The girl I borrowed it from wanted nothing to do with me after she found out. ): And the grilled cheese turned out bad, too - so not worth it.
