Yuko got some great advice for places to look at bridesmaid dresses back in this post, so she picked a day and I went along as moral support. Yuko's on the smaller side; I should have bought her scuba gear, she was swimming in them. But! She did find a dress and get it ordered, and that's a relief for her. Thank you again!
Yuko has a guest appearance over at Dirt Between My Toes! Rad!
Happy Thanksgiving to our domestic readers! My brother is visiting from California, so our family is together for the first time in quite a while. We're all catching up.
Truly Yuko loves all creatures on the earth equally.
Holiday announcements, finally! First, THE CUT-OFF FOR DOMESTIC HOLIDAY ORDERS IS DECEMBER 15th. FOR INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY ORDERS IT IS DECEMBER 1ST. Sorry, I know that's close for international folks! Second - Hokusai shirts are in! Here's a look:
Possibly one of the worst problems to have when you're inking! Or really, doing anything, ever. Yuko usually puts brush to paper between hiccups, until it becomes frustrating enough to make her give up. Rumor has it that Jackson Pollock's art career began with a case of the hiccups.
Yuko says thank you to everyone for the bridesmaid dress suggestions! She really appreciates it. We're taking a look around tomorrow, and I'm mentally preparing for the stress!
The exit was for the Innuendo Parkway, on which we stayed till the end of our trip.
An update for those of you who ordered NEWW sketchbooks - Yuko is working her way through them, and they'll go out as she gets them done. She is putting a lot of work into your sketches!
I have to ask a selfish question of you guys - Yuko is looking to get a bridesmaid dress (actually for the wedding described herein). If any of you can suggest a place(s) in NYC, that would be amazing. We only know of one or two. Thanks!
Evan John and George saw this guy while we were waiting in Port Authority. He's somewhere between Blade and Kingdom Hearts, I think, except when he walks into the pastry shop I think "Man vs. Food", only in a gladiator's arena.
This happened on the way down to DC this past weekend - we were attending the rally and then going to a Halloween party afterwards. The tollbooth was coming up, and, well ... when George is around, these things happen. You'll remember him from some older comics.
George actually worked the rally for the Colbert Report, so here's something neat for those of you who were there or saw the coverage,
So we try to keep these Garies comics to a minimum because they are maybe a little too inside jokey, not to mention vague, weird, and creepy - but it's Halloween and that suits the holiday just fine. Today is Garies Proverbs - there will possibly be one more Garies comic on Tuesday, but that may change.
We may or may not be at a certain event in DC this coming Saturday.
