Hey guys --
It doesn't look like there's going to be a comic today - we're swamped with work. We'll try to put up a little something if we can find the time, sorry about that! Things will be back to normal next week.
Have a great weekend! Hopefully we'll catch you at Tora-con!
A while back, George bought frosting for the pill cookies that went with his Dr. Mario costume. John's since been taking care of the frosting by squeezing it onto a spoon and eating it. What I'm trying to say is that give him the frosting and run away while he's distracted.
We ordered new bookmarks today. Those cat bookmarks will be back, and they'll be joined by a puppy bookmark and a Maw bookmark.
MoCCA was this past weekend - thanks to everyone who stopped us to say hello! Nice to meet ya. Aaron Diaz stayed with us and on Monday we went to the American Natural History Museum -- two of his readers, Michelle and Kat (I hope I'm spelling that correctly), were kind enough to give us a behind-the-scenes tour! We got to see where the bones are cleaned, stored, and we got a great sense of how people in that field work. Thanks so much Michelle and Kat!!
I couldn't make this up even if I wanted to.
This weekend is MoCCA! We don't have a table this year, but we will be circulating, so flag us down and say hello if you like! We don't bite at all, I promise. :) Additionally, Yuko will be at Drink and Draw Like a Lady on Friday night, so ladies can catch her there as well!
Quick note for overseas readers, just in case - a George Foreman is essentially a grill.
This actually dates back to Easter in Rockville, MD - all the easter bunnies were on super sale, especially the Palmer white chocolate flavored bunny. Wait. White Chocolate Flavored? Uh Oh. A quick look at the ingredients reveals,
It's April Fools day, which means you gotta keep on your toes. Believe nothing! We had something planned for weeks, but sometimes work keeps you busy. Next year, next year.
Mike actually got up bright and early this morning so he could prank everyone he knows - he's already tried to get me twice, and ... well, I'll save it for a comic. Suffice to say he's been hard at work ...
Mort was the landlord in Rochester, and he was an odd guy. If he was an action figure, he'd come with a bottle in a brown paper bag, a cigarette, and spackle, and if you pushed the button on his back he'd say one of his Mort-isms, in the voice of Watto (the little flying scrap dealer in Phantom Menace). There were a lot! You'll probably see more Spacklehaus memoirs in the near future - we talked about living there during one of our panels at I-Con, and it brought everything (hilariously) back.
You guys might recall this comic from way back when - sometimes dreams do come true.
Hey guys! I know many of you are headed to PAX East, but we will be at I-Con in Long Island this weekend! If you're free and in the area, come by and say hello. We'll be bringing all the JW merch we can carry, and we'd love to say hey! We'll be sharing a table with Mookie of Dominic Deegan.
Hey everyone! This happened post-IKEA - I've had the script in reserve for a little while now. John loves to build everything (I like to do it too, but I think he gets more out of it). Actually, he and Yuko built Rook some cat steps that they bolted to the wall in the living room - we'll post photos some time.
