Ananth's blog

Premiering in Shonen Jump

Tue, 01/05/2010 - 18:19 by Ananth in response to speeed liiines

Speed lines, awww yeah.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and New Year! I took a trip home to DC to visit some friends, my brother visited, and then a bunch of friends came up for New Years ... we threw a party and I'm sure I'll get some comics out of that. A lot of folks from Rochester visited, included Conrad's lady Rachelle, who is pretty ace and previously appeared here, eating bacon in a manner that can only be called adorable.

Ink tests!

Thu, 12/31/2009 - 13:42 by Ananth in response to inept baby mouse II

Hey guys! Today is kind of a busy day, so I'm making this pretty quick: here are the ink test examples you requested! Each figure is one ink test, so here are a bunch:

Some of them seem a little messy because of residual pencils - the ink tests in the store would all be clean like the majority above. There's Lockheed in the bottom right! Violin fox is probably my favorite.

Mouse Trap!

Tue, 12/29/2009 - 19:55 by Ananth in response to inept baby mouse

Unlike all the mice in our past experience, this one in particular was pretty docile and friendly. Yuko told me over the phone that the mouse was "60% head" and she speculated that it was probably a baby.

Happy holidays!

Fri, 12/25/2009 - 02:17 by Ananth in response to happy holidays 2009

Sorry guys, was out catching up with some old friends today! But check out this year-end meme Yuko put together:

You can see more art over at her latest LJ entry! Lots of Basilisk scribbles. :)

Happy holidays everyone!

it's a sad end for that little kiwi

Tue, 12/22/2009 - 20:15 by Ananth in response to when did we even buy kiwis

That kiwi was hiding at the bottom of our fruit bowl for ... well, it was a while. It's a little embarrassing and I think we're going to gloss over the details ... ! But we wanted to share this particular incident as a cautionary tale.

Also, guys, it was gross. Really the worst. When Yuko picked it up it kind of squished and all this juice came out.

Ew.

All shipping from hereon out will get done when we return from visiting our respective parents! Sorry about that, we couldn't really bring any stock with us.

Hey guys and gals! Yuko and are leaving for the holidays and unfortunately we won't have access to our stock while we're gone! This means that the earliest we can guarantee the shipment of any new orders is after January 1st! I'm editing the shipping time on all items in the store as well, so the information will be uniform.

Happy holidays guys! Hope you all have a great one!

Good luck George!

Thu, 12/17/2009 - 01:10 by Ananth in response to the ballad of groc brostar

Hey guys! Usually we try to do stuff that's a little broad in scope so everyone can relate, but this time we wanted to do something a little more personal. This is in line with George's sense of humor, which we thought we'd appeal to since we're giving him the original page as a part of his going-away presents. George is headed to Portland! We hang out with him on a pretty regular basis, so it will be sad times to see him go. George, your company has been a pleasure and you'll be missed! Also your cooking, that will be missed.

Some announcements!

Tue, 12/15/2009 - 16:38 by Ananth in response to delilah and the basilisk: epilogue

Poor Death ... there really isn't anything in the Reaper Handbook about people turned to stone. Cecilia seems to have some ideas though ... Lucky for him!

We have a couple of announcements!

And they all lived happily ever after

Except for that bully, what a jerk. That's the end of Delilah! Hope you enjoyed it.

PaleontoLOLgy shirts are here!!

Tue, 12/08/2009 - 21:41 by Ananth in response to delilah and the basilisk 3

Hey guys! Here's page 3 - that Basilisk has certainly taken a shine to Delilah!

Oh! The PaleontoLOLgy tees are in the store right now!! And we also got totes! They all glow in the dark and look so so good! We're so thrilled with how the print came out:
