The cats are thinking of us! I think ...
Yuko colored the comic from yesterday! It's making the rounds on Tumblr, check it out:
Have a good weekend, see you next week!
We usually steer clear of pop culture references but we've really been enjoying the new Avatar stuff ... a lead lady protagonist with serious guns and no damsel syndrome is pretty rare! Yuko did some other sketches of the cast (she draws a mean Tenzin).
Just a reminder: There are still signed copies of the art books and the Johnny Wander collections over at Topatoco!
The last of the travelogue comics for a little bit! We'll be going back to regular strips next week.
Before I talk about the strip, I want to mention - Topatoco has a new photo submission system! And you can get $10 off codes for submitting! Here's the Photo Hut, and here are the submission rules - check 'em out!
Dejima is really interesting! The idea of a buffer city for foreigners seems like an idea you would find in fiction, but it is very real. It also didn't work! Clearly. Today Dejima has been swallowed up by Nagasaki, and Nagasaki itself has very European architecture in certain places. Here's pictures from Yuko's trip:

More travelogues!
Yuko's Adventure Time cover was announced! It's a variant cover of Marceline & The Scream Queens #3 by Meredith Gran! Check it out:
Hey guys! We're going to do some more of Yuko's Japanese travelogues this week! These are from the trip she took in April.
We're going to be presenting the awards in the graphic novel category for the Random House Creative Writing Competition tonight! We're a little nervous but it ought to be fun. I love the idea of creative writing scholarships.
Definitely one of the weirder experiences of my life! He did a half dozen card tricks while we were waiting in line, each more impressive than the last. It might be an understatement to say that the dude is really good at sleight of hand.
I've been spending a lot of my time writing recently, which is great! It's going ot mean more comics for your guys in the long run. I'm working on one project right now that I'll announce with details a little later this year - I'm a little over half done writing it. Very excited!
For Caldwell's birthday we got him a tiny king's cloak and crown and Katie got him a scepter that makes a magical glittery sound when you wave it. We piled onto the party bus and rode on down to Medieval Times with his coworkers at College Humor, where we proceeded to cheer the heck out the red knight in a manner most rowdy. The green knight won (the green knight always wins?) but he crowned a little girl the Queen of Love and Beauty and that was pretty adorable. Anyway, happy birthday Caldwell!
It's not broken buddy! And who taught you that was the best way to fix that? (probably me)
Rook loves the air conditioner ... if he ever figures out how to turn it on we'll be in trouble, I think.
BIG NEWS! I'm very excited to officially announce that we've joined Topatoco! We're so psyched and very pleased to be partnering with Jeffrey, Holly and the fine folks at Topatoco to be able to bring you quality wares.
