Cricket got spayed! She's doing fine, just adjusting to her new party cone. Imagine Man in the Iron Mask, but instead it's a cat trapped in a Lady Gaga costume. She gets to take it off in 2 weeks, I think she's looking forward to it. 

Poor Rook! The story of his cat life. If it's not birds, it's squirrels. Sometimes he'll wait for them to get close to the glass and then he'll throw himself against it. The noise scares 'em off and if one of us is in the kitchen at the time we'll quietly cheer.

Hey guys! Things are crazy around here, here's a pin-up of the Dark Horse short Callie Eats Feathers that we did last February. It was collected in Dark Horse Presents Vol. 5. Beginning Tuesday we'll be offering signed copies in the store packaged up with a giclée print of today's pinup. 

Haha, actually, we have been pretty swamped. I had some freelance gigs that had a very short turnaround last week/weekend and Yuko's got her usual client work - sorry it's not a 'full' comic, but sometimes it's best to be concise. 

Ohhh man we are so close to getting this cat! Yuko used our buddy L's method of rough cat-petting to give the cat a test run. We went to the shelter on Thursday and met a bunch of cats. One of them was super friendly, and I have a soft spot for black cats because they're often glossed over either because 1. people are superstitious or 2. because the shelter is full of them, they're seen as generic - a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway! This cat came in the day before with 5 other adults and 11 kittens - 17 cats total!
